Re: Riwo Sangchod - ingredients question

So I was hope to get some thoughts for a paper. I need five reasons why "not" to use Padma-28. Like five negatives about the Padma-28. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Ps. this is here because I could not put it in the "Tibetan Medicine" forum, sorry.

Re: Contemporary tertons of Eastern Tibet

You know, I've found the Tibetan lamas don't care at all about the western lamas we all criticize. The stories they know about some other Asian lamas are so much worse, they make our guys look like no big deal at all. I would not touch the Aro in any way, but this is my finding as well... Tibetan L...

Re: Nyingma Scriptural Studies

Hi, I'm trying to put together a curriculum for myself to study Nyingma scriptures. I know that the Guhyagarbha Tantra and Longchenpa's Treasuries are important, but not much else other than that. I have also found the curriculum at Namdroling's shedra . Does anyone else have input on what texts ar...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

My Tibetan is not so great so I assume ter cho-kor means terma cycle? If so I do remember Rinpoche commenting on other teachers asking for copies of his texts who had not had transmission from him and him saying they should receive teaching from him first, just like any of his other students. It pa...

Re: Nyingma Scriptural Studies

Dzogchen Monastery (Tibet) follows Khenpo Shenga's 13 commentaries, and so does Dzongsar but the western shedra was what I'm asking about and thats because mostly what Dzongsar Khyentse teaches is in fact Nyingma, not all, but most. Anyone have any ideas if he does actually have a shedra for western...

Re: Will, creamation, organ donation

Hi all, I'm helping someone organise his will and arrange a funeral. I was wondering about the following from the perspective of Tibetan Buddhism: 1. After death occurs, how many days should expire before cremation, and does it matter at all? 2. What the teachers and lamas say on the issue of organ...

Re: Nyingma Scriptural Studies

I thought that Dzongsar Khyentse had a kinda Western Shedra for his English language students, does he not?

If so you any of you know where I may look into it?

Re: Which Of The 17 Dzogchen Tantras Have Been Published?

So has anyone seen a Tibetan printing of just the 17 root tantras together. Not Tarthang Rinpoche's though because its got mistakes and not so good paper. I'll be useing for Zung-juk so we need a good printer version. Other wise I have to go through the Gyud-bum and pull them all out. Any help or Info
