Re: Tsongkhapa guru yoga question
I recommend the book Hundreds of Deities of Tushita by Choden Rinpoche in which he explains clearly and in length how to do the practice of JTK Guru Yoga, according to Tantra and according to Sutra. The first part he explains all the practices and visualizations that one can do when one has HYT init...

35 Buddhas = specific purifying powers
Hi all
I have been reading about the 35 Buddhas practice and trying to find out what each buddha purifies specifically. Any resources that have this? Thank you.

Ngakpa & Someone with Tantric Initiation: Difference?
Hi 1) What is the difference between someone who is a Ngakpa and someone who has taken higher tantric initiations - don't they have the same Tantric vows and commitments. I suppose it would be correct to say all Ngakpas are Tantric practitioners but not all Tantric practitioners are Ngakpas? 2) If o...

Re: Kshitigarbha Sutra - Chinese phonetics
Sutra text with Chinese hanyu pinyin: here Addendum: Audio recitation: 1 2 3 Your friend can use this as an accompanying chant/recitation guide. I chose this recording because of its clear, stable and melodic method of chanting and pronounciation. It's done by the monastics of Fo Guang Shan. You can...

Kshitigarbha Sutra - Chinese phonetics
Hi
I'm looking for a copy of the Sutra of the Past Vows of Kshitigarbha Bodhisattva - Chinese version with phonetics for reciting by someone who can't read Chinese. If there is an ebook version or hardcopy, would appreciate it. Thank you.

Re: Four Mandala Offerings to Tara
My teachers have also indicated to me that the torma offering can be visualized, or also left out if one is pressed for time. 1) I thought you can replace offerings by visualization only if it is something like HYT, not sure what category this practice is. 2) When you say leave out, do you mean lea...

Four Mandala Offerings to Tara
Hi
In the Four Mandala Offerings to Tara Sadhana, there is a section on offering Torma. If one does not have a torma offering, what does one do??
If I get one of those wooden torma representations, does it mean I don't need and actual torma? Where can I get on by the way. Thanks.

Hi
Can anyone please tell me about the importance about having statues filled? I have a friend who has an entire shrine of Tibetan style statues that are not filled. Is this okay? Thanks.
