... many scientists influence the results of their experiments and there is no objective reality to investigate. If you look at the mystery of the placebo affect, as yet no doctor or scientist has been able to fully explain or understand it.

Perhaps if you could explain why it works that could be helpful. I see that it does not work as a treatment modality and has nothing like A&P to diagnose causes. Why doesn't it work better than placebo in double blind trials?

Nitpicking and using credentials is not meeting the argument. You understand the thesis. I don't care what kind of astrology you practice. Prove that it works and is not a placebo.

... illness in the first place. This is not happening because they cannot admit how little they know or they would lose the palliative effect of placebo. The discipline is trapped. It cannot change without a massive loss of prestige. So massive it may not even survive.
