Hello
Hi Everyone. I am "new" to Buddhism. How can I ever consider myself a Buddhist without the guidance of a live clergy or temple? Eeither of which are no where near where I reside

How or where to I set follow thread?
Re: Hello
I don't think you can, but there is a "view new posts" function on the index page that gets the job done.Bodhisattva Ideal wrote:How or where to I set follow thread?

Hello and welcome BI.
Many people interested in buddhism live far from buddhist temples. Take your time to explore the basic teachings and the different traditions first. There is a lot of good online information if you know where to look. Books and online courses can also help. And perhaps your circumstances will change in the future.

Hello and welcome! Yes, remember the Three Jewels.. Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. Just keep studying the Dharma, maybe use this board as your Sangha, and definitely take refuge in the Buddha. Do those three things and I would consider you a Buddhist. Hope that helps.
