Is this real? (A tiny bit off topic!)

I am wanting to purchase an incense holder, and I really like the style of this one. Can anyone tell me if this is a real Tibetan one? What is the traditional type made or used there?

Yup. Its a box for holding incense.
Most people buy incense already in boxes made of cardboard. ;)
If your incense comes wrapped in cellophane, then you might
want to put it in a box, but not need.

The usual incense burner is a box with a slot on top, or also
a pot hanging from three chains, like you see use in Catholic churches.

There is also a kind of wooden sensor that is tubular in shape and often
has a dorje shape at the bottom wich is used in pujas as a kind of "wand"
that you wave around as if you were drawing the shape of the Tibetan letter
"cha" -- vaguely like an infinity sing. This isn't that.

Cool, Thank you. I am trying to make a shrine. Never had one before. So I am trying to use at least semi authentication pieces for it. Etsy is a really cool place to find things like that.

Also what's up with all Buddha statues being so expensive? I ended up getting one and then realized it was only like 6" Tall. haha.. Oh well. Thanks for the information.

Buddha statues are expensive? Depends on how nice you want.
6 or 8 inches is not unusual on a shrine. A museum quality statue
can definitely be had for $1200 or more, but you can also have
simple ones for a 10th of that.

How complex do you want your shrine? It can have as few as three
things... or it can have a mandala house and tormas galore!
Depends on the kind of practice you engage.

Fairly simple really, A buddha statue, A tibetan tonka (Cycle of re-incarnation one), a set of prayer beads, an incense holder and burner.

Most of the decent looking statues at around 8-10" tall were all 150$+, I thought that was kind of expensive. lol. Actually most of the nicer ones were 300$

Edit: Haha I've never even heard of a torma, now I want one. Those are cool.

What you (Basic) need: 1) an image of the Buddha or your Root Lama,
2) a text such as the Heart Sutra, 3) a stupa or a phurba which represents
Body, Speech and Mind of Buddha. 4) a set of offering bowls.

Example of a good quality Buddha statue ($300):
