Re-stringing a mala

Post by Karma Dondrup Tashi »

Does anyone know how to, or does any vendor, re-string a mala?

In particular need some advice as to where to get good strong cord and also how to tie a proper knot at the end with some nice decoration.

I love the beads of the one I have but the cord is really loose and the knot on the end is kind of ugly. Whenever I try to re-tie it myself I seem to make it worse.

I googled "how to restring a mala" and found several detailed videos. Check it out and see if any of them work for you.
