Dear Sonam,

if you can provide contacts of an NGO that helps in your area, members can donate some money that will hopefully help.

May you be well!

About the efforts of the CTA I found this:
From June 4th
http://zeenews.india.com/news/himachal- ... 07417.html

And older from April 27th, for example
http://www.myfoxla.com/story/28905165/c ... ef-efforts

The situation seems to be difficult for everybody. And somehow it should be kept in mind, that help is still needed, while the actual news start to forget about it already.

I had a 2nd cousin who was a Christian Brother (CFC), a scholar-teacher who died in Ethiopia from Hepatitis E. Read some articles suggesting this might be a threat with the monsoons in July. Just something else to be aware of and pray about.

Hello Sonam. I'm hoping things have improved since you first posted this topic but it is still a massive disaster for any country to cope with both in terms of immediate relief and longer term recovery. Efforts to help can be patchy and un-coordinated. There are still reports about people only now receiving food and/or shelter supplies.

For Nepalis affected by the earthquake, this is good advice about how to recover mentally from the disaster http://www.drishtanta.com/7-things-you- ... arthquake/. Maybe you'd like to share it with you friends.

Some more tibetan buddhist organisations based in Nepal where donations can be made are:

Chogyur Lingpa Foundation (Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche & Phakchok Rinpoche)
https://www.z2systems.com/np/clients/ch ... nation.jsp

Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche

Tek Chok Ling (Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche)
https://co.clickandpledge.com/advanced/ ... wid=109073

Donations are definitely still needed!

Published: September 02 ---4 months after quakes, Nepal fails to spend any of $4.1 billion donor money

KATHMANDU: Two months after foreign countries and international agencies pledged $4.1 billion to help Nepal recover from its worst natural disaster, the government has yet to make arrangements to receive the money and has spent nothing on reconstruction.
