I'm a Nichiren Buddhist, which is why I requested chants. But if other schools of Buddhism pray, that would help too, I'm sure.

Long story short, I'm desperate at the moment to find funds to help pay so I can complete my college education. I was panic stricken all day, and finally chanting for an hour-and-a-half just helped me out of it. But any help others care to offer would be greatly appreciated.

I will do some Medicine Buddha recitations. He helps those in the need of physical things like food, health or the like.

The best move for US college students is to move to Austria or another education centric country and complete their education there. This is very much dependent upon their circumstances of course and their field of study. The problem with Austria for many people is German and the fact that while education costs are about 950 Euro per semester, you have living costs like rent, etc. These are usually lower than in most parts of the US. Australia and Holland are also two other countries in this category (esp Australia for computer science). The only real exception to this is IF you are studying at the Big 3 - 5 (you can stretch this to 15) schools for your fields (so in computer science: MIT, Stanford, UC Berkley in not particular order [it shakes out according to you specialty] down to UM College Park) OR if you can get a world class (a truly world class) professor as a mentor and work with them. If not, moving to a better country for education is the better move. And you will need to gauge this carefully.

If you choose to not do that (and most US students can't) - what about student loans? Generally this or the military are your only resource. If you are a truly excellent student then you may need to investigate a school like Cooper-Union in NYC that gives each admitted student a full tuition scholarship. There are a few of these schools. Check them out.

If you are at a second or third tier school, you may want to regroup and rethink the entire activity. If you are not in the top 5 schools in your field there is no reason to not choose an excellent community college, thus lowering costs considerably. The school you go to does actually matter as does excellent performance in school. Anything less than excellent performance is a waste of your time and money. After graduation, if you have not gone to an elite school or produced excellent scholarship (meaning produced a new idea and published it, not just getting excellent grades) and preferably both, then you have to rely on people skills, meaning really, getting people to like you, for employment.
