I pray that the elderly may be comfortable, and not be alone. May they be treated with respect, and may we take their feet to our heads. May they always receive the first portion. May we always wait for them in patience, as their every creak, tremor, and shuffle is a lesson. May they not die forgotten. May they not die without telling their stories, and may we remember and retell those stories. May they not die before becoming part of us all.
