any help for those going hungry?

A place for discussion of current events. Buddhist news would be particularly appreciated.

any help for those going hungry?

Postby greentreee » Thu Dec 20, 2012 12:28 am

hi

this news caught my attention the other day. just thought i'd share.

at some point i may add some commentary, but at this point in time i just wanna share this, or these links.

http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/obert-mado ... 98786.html
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/sudbury/s ... -more.html

just a post regarding things more important than, how to deal with your credit card debt!

i'm just sitting here listening to Rage Against The Machine's song "Bombtrack (live) from the re-release of their first album... the intro is particularly interesting.

...

can there be awareness in hypocrisy?
scratching thick hair'd head,
"if air can be conditioned,
like where's the shampoo?"

This is Chief Theresa Spence, the lady who is doing the hunger strike.
Sergeant Schultz knew everything there was to know.

Catmoon, you are a naughty kitty.
Oh, the temptation, just observe, just observe, just observe.

i'm curious of the intent.

a picture is worth a thousand words. but a picture of an individual outside of their element reveals little. Also, the lack of experience living in such situations, within the "apparatus" should be considered.
not sure how the trees are growing out west, but down here in the south of northern ontario, we still have some large maple left. but not for long.

anyways, your post reflects immaturity. unfortunate, since you are supposedly a site founder.

i wish the cause great success myself. perhaps colonialism will some day enlighten itself.

have a wonderful new years.

Yes the temptation was there.
But better to be childlike and not childish.

Most telling comments from posters on one of the linked stories:

"Kinda funny how all this starts after the federal government announces plans to make disclosure of the chiefs financial dealings mandatory."

"The Attawapaskit Band has more people on the payroll than Nanaimo. Nanaimo has 17 City Councillors and School board executives for a city of 80,000. Attawapaskit has 24 for less than 2,000."

And now in other news here is the PM meeting with Justin Bieber.
