Does anyone know what “Khorva Yedal” is referring to or translates to exactly? Its the topic of chNNr's New York retreat in July.

It's going to be some kind of Dzogchen teaching I'm sure. Other than that there doesn't really seem to be any info out there that I could find.

Can't seem to find any infos on this one, so I'm wondering... is this a new Longsal teaching?

'khor ba means samsara.

Indeed. Is that the intended word? I might guess that "yedal" = "ye bral" but I would like to know for sure.

Seems to be. And then 'ye' is a contraction of yé né [primordial, from the beginning]. 'Bral' is a negation.

This is pure speculation for me though.

I was told by a friend who knows Tibetan that it's most likely a teaching on how samsara comes forth from primordial state.

According to the booklet " Glossary of Tibetan Terms and Names for the Dzogchen Community "
I guess “Khorva Yedal” probably means "Liberating Samsara in the Primordial State".

khorwa ~ ‘khor ba ~1. samsara, cyclical existence, transmigration, cycle, wheel, world, 2. walk around, turn
circumambulate,
yedrol ~ ye grol ~ primordial liberation

I wonder if Yedal is not Rinpoche's phonetics for ye-bdal which is a common expression in Bon Dzogchen works which one also finds although more rarely in Nyingma works (very few occurrences in the NGB as far as I can say). If this is really ye-bdal, then the title means something like the Primeval Display of Samsara.

Any confirmation after retreat what YEDAL came to mean? the YE part seems to be cleared up, but the DAL?

This was the first time time I saw Rinpohe in person, I want to ask him at the end but when I got up to him I couldn't really get anything out but 'thank you, this was my first time to see you in person" lol.

Anyhow, very nice to be able to actually go in person for once.

Bryan.

my first thought was: " dal could be bsgral"
"liberate"

this makes (maybe only for me) more sense than "display"
