Helping a Student of CHNN Attend Retreat 2013 & 2014

Post by T. Chokyi »

Fellow students of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, I hope you'll help my friend Jeremy
attend Rinpoche's teaching for the first time this summer 2013 in Conway Ma.
If you can help with prayer, please do so, also he has a webpage where he is asking for financial help.
I have given my prayers and also some financial help, either way, this will help him get to meet
Rinpoche in person, as Jeremy is a very precious and dedicated student of Buddha Dharma,
He is a member of The Dzogchen Community of Tsegyalgar East, as I am, and he is
just starting out in learning all he can from Rinpoche.

This is his own story:

Thank you so much for any help,

Please help my friend Jeremy attend Rinpoche's teachings this Summer of 2014. He is a member of The Dzogchen Community of Tsegyalgar East, and he helped put that Longsal symbol up on the dance pavilion while he was in the retreat in 2013.

Please see the link for 2014 for his petition for funding on The Offering Bowl here:

Any amount, big or small, is welcome and very much appreciated!

Thank you so much for any help,

T. Chokyi

Petition on Offering Bowl:
http://theofferingbowl.com/index.php/pe ... eaton-2014

Practitioner needs funding for trip to Conway, Tsegyalgar East, for July 2014 teachings.
Please help him help others, this petition includes support for Naomi Zeitz to come to Ohio in August.

To quote Jeremy (petitioner) under his "About Me" section (link above) on the offering bowl:

"Presently, I am trying to attend the upcoming Dzogchen Community retreat on "The Four Dharmas of Longchenpa" in Shelburne Falls, MA, July 16th-20th and if I am fortunate enough, the Yantra Yoga (which is a facet of the Dzogchen teachings) introductory course near where I live. I requested one of the teachers to teach a course near me since I cannot attend courses in other states due to time restraints, costs, etc and she was so very kind to agree to come. I want to make sure that her costs are covered."

Part of his petition is to support Yantra Yoga teachings taught by Naomi Zeitz live and in person in Ohio, this is the "she" he is referring to in the quote above, but the information was accidentally left off. If you have $5.00, $10.00, $20.00 whatever amount for helping bring CHNN's activities: Yantra Yoga to Ohio, taught by a highly qualified Yantra yoga teacher, then please consider giving.

This information was listed previously Under "Upcoming Events" on The Yantra Yoga website:

What is Yantra Yoga:
http://www.yantrayoga.org/what-is-yantra-yoga/

"Yantra Yoga is one of the oldest recorded systems of yoga in the world. It has come to us by way of Tibet, a land that holds a vast, rich Buddhist knowledge and heritage. Yantra Yoga’s unique series of positions and movements, combined with conscious breathing, can help coordinate and harmonize one’s personal energy so that the mind can relax and find its authentic balance.

Many positions used in Yantra Yoga are similar to those of Hatha Yoga, but the way to assume and apply them differs significantly. Yantra Yoga uses a sequence that consists of seven phases of movement, connected with seven phases of breathing. In particular, the position in the central phase of each movement helps create specific retentions of the breath that work at a deep, subtle level. For this reason it is not only the main position, but this holding and the entire movement that are important.

The system of Yantra Yoga contains a wide range of movements that can be applied by everyone. This is a superb method to attain optimal health, relaxation, and balance through the coordination of breath and movement.

While today’s Yantra Yoga practitioner does not necessarily need to follow a particular spiritual path, anyone can practice without limitation. This fundamental and rich method is connected with the profound essence of the Dzogchen Teachings, and for millennia it has been taught for the purpose of finding the true natural state.
