This is essentially all the money I have saved up, will just have to live at bare minimum for the next couple of months to add on to it.

Edit: Just looked at ticket prices, hotels, passports etc. I don't have a chance, enjoy.
Buy your plane ticket, start a go fund me. You will be able to find some place to stay with some kind person.
Even of today, there are two-way flights for $1026.

Starting a go fund me sounds a great idea. Be sure to spread the word afterwards. There are Facebook groups of different Dzogchen Communities, there is norbunet etc. Beside all other options for hotels, there is also a Facebook group called "Dzamling Gar Accommodation".
Good luck!

Has anybody used the aforementioned Facebook group with success before? I can afford the flight ticket just fine (Norway to Tenerife), and I was thinking of doing something like 26th Dec. to 9th Jan., but there's no way I can afford hotels from the looks of it, so I need to do something cheaper.

Perhaps it's possible for a small group of people to share an apartment or something like this?

I would also be interested in such an arrangement.

I got very lucky and managed to find and book something very cheap (a bell tent) which is very close to the Gar.

It can host 3 or 4 people. 2 single beds, 1 double.
2 people would need to share a double bed if we have 4 of us and I'm voting not me as I sleep light enough as it is.

So if you guys are still interested, drop me a pm.

Edit : dates booked are 28th Dec- 4th Jan.
There may or may not be availability before and after if you're flights are different. Something that would need to be checked.

After much digging, I managed to find a place for one today, nearby Dzamling Gar. I will arrive Dec.27 and stay until Jan.9.

See you all then!

Is there a list with the lungs one received during the last Shitro retreat?

I got myself the book 'Guru Arya Tara and Her Twenty-One Praises' and wondered if I can do all the Mantras and practises that I like out of that book.

At every DC retreat I have attended, I have encountered at least one (usually more) person from e-sangha and/or DW. I am glad to see this will also be the case for the yangti retreat.

A passing observation: I've been watching Airbnb rentals near the Gar coming and going in recent weeks. It seems that the locals have caught on that there is an event in the neighborhood...

Does anyone know if the Longsal retreats (specifically the one at the end of January 2017 in Dzamling Gar) require the specific Longsal empowerment? Or is transmission the only requirement?

Hey all. It's been a while since I've received any webcast transmissions from Rinpoche, & the webcast link I have appears to be outdated. Can someone give me a link to the webcast, and to the current schedule?

I looked up Arcidosso time on google and it is currently 2am there, and my clock says 7pm, so they are seven hours ahead of me....so 10 am their time is 3am my time.

That was my figuring too, gtm+2 should be 12pm though right? So seven hours less should be 5am same day.
