13 Tantras of Marpa Drupcho at Gyalstap Rinpoche's Monastery

Post by conebeckham »

Years ago, 17th Karmapa instituted the practice of these, assigning them to the main Karma Kagyu monasteries. So, for instance, Rumtek does an annual Hevajra Drupcho, while Mirik does an annual Manjusri Namasamgiti Drupcho, and other monasteries do Guhyasamaya, Mahamaya, Caturpitha, Buddhakapala, etc. on an annual basis.

Now, for the first time, all thirteen of these Drupchos are being practiced simultaneously at Palchen Choling, in Ralang, Sikkim, with His Eminence Gyaltsap Rinpoche officiating. More than 800 monks and nuns from Karma Kagyu monasteries throughout the Himalayan region are attending and practicing, and it's a truly inspiring thing to see....

Too much work for me to post all the pics and links, but if you're on FB, here's the link:

You can friend the monastery to get a feed of the pics and albums as they're posted.

"Absolute Truth is not an object of analytical discourse or great discriminating wisdom,
It is realized through the blessing grace of the Guru and fortunate Karmic potential.
Like this, mistaken ideas of discriminating wisdom are clarified."
