Zen Master Seung Sahn said, “That’s simple. Atomic bombs come from the mind that likes this and doesn’t like that.”

"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."

Wonderful place!
Meditate upon Bodhicitta when afflicted by disease

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when sad

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when suffering occurs

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when you are scared

I shot this pic of His Holiness Dagchen Rinpoche arriving for His Holiness Sakya Trizin's birthday celebration last weekend at the Monastery.

During the end of the ceremony, I was standing next to his throne looking towards the back of the shrine room taking pictures. I noticed that some of the people in the back were gesticulating wildly for me to turn around. I immediately thought "uh oh, I'm in trouble!" and looked up to see Dagchen Rinpoche trying to get my attention. I leaned in and he leaned down and he told me to go to the back to the shrine room so I could get more people in the room in the pictures I was taking. Relieved, I gave him a thumbs up and quickly complied.

Whew.
