Lama Migmar and the Sakya Institute for Buddhist Studies are happy to announce this special event in the Boston area on the weekend of April 11-12, 2015.
For the first time in the West, HH Sakya Trizin Rinpoche will bestow the Chakrasamvara Body Mandala empowerment on the afternoon of Sunday April 12. HH will also bestow empowerments of Amitayus, Tara, and Ushnisha Vijaya on Saturday April 11th, and there are no prerequisites for these empowerments. Sakya Trizin - Chakrasamvara Body Mandala - Boston 4/2015
Re: Sakya Trizin - Chakrasamvara Body Mandala - Boston 4/201
It has to be the Ghantapada five-deity major empowerment, not just any Cakrasamvara major empowerment. Not even Luipa or Krishancarya's tradition will count.alexprice wrote:Lama Migmar and the Sakya Institute for Buddhist Studies are happy to announce this special event in the Boston area on the weekend of April 11-12, 2015.

HH is now going to offer the two-day Chakrasamvara major initiation at Tsechen Kunchab Ling in Walden NY on March 19-20, 2015. If you want to come to the Body Mandala empowement in Boston but didn't have the prerequisite initiation, this is your chance!
The Chakrasamvara Body Mandala is a very special blessing. HH has only given it once before in his life and it was given privately to one person, another high level lama. This is the first time it's ever been offered publicly and I don't know if it will happen again. If there's any way to make it, I personally think its an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.

Re: Sakya Trizin - Chakrasamvara Body Mandala - Boston 4/201
It has just been announced that the following will take place after the Body Mandala empowerment on Sunday April 13th
ORAL TRANSMISSION OF THE CAKRASAMVARA ROOT TANTRA (LAGHUSAMVARA)
We are very excited and honored to announce that His Holiness Sakya Trizin has assented to bestow the oral transmission of the Cakrasamvara Root Tantra at the request of Khenpo Migmar Tseten and the Sakya Institute for the benefit and blessings of all Cakrasamvara and Vajrayoginī practitioners.
There exists very special lineage of the practice and explanation of the Cakrasamvara tantra held called “The Ultimate Secret”. The Ultimate Secret is the special oral instructions on the Cakrasamvara system which comes from the Mahāsiddha Naropa, was only passed onto his Nepalese disciple, Abhayakīrti of modern day Pharping (Phaimting), Nepal, whose Vajrayoginī temple still exists today.
Guru Abhayakirti in turn transmitted the Root Tantra to Mal Lotsawa Lodo Dragpa seventy-three times. Each time it was transmitted, Mal Lotsawa offered a ganacakra. Guru Abhayakirti also directly gave Mal Lotsawa the transmissions for the Ultimate Secret system, including the three main traditions of Cakrasamvara, Luipa, Ghantapāda and Krishnacarya, as well as the transmission for Naropa’s Khechari. Mal Lotsawa also translated the root tantra with the Nepalese master, Sumatikirti.
Towards the end of Mal Lotsawa’s life, he met Sachen Kungpa Nyingpo to whom he granted all his teachings, including the eight deity Mahākala that is the main protector practice of the Sakyapa school. Thus Sachen became the main heir of the Ultimate Secret system.
Sachen Kunga Nyingpo in turn wrote three texts on the Cakrasamvara Root Tantra from the point of view of the Ultimate Secret system: an outline, a selection of difficult points and a word by word commentary on the entire text. He also passed on all the teachings of the Ultimate Secret system to his sons and lineage holders, Loppon Rinpoche and Jetsun Rinpoche.
