Reading Transmission of Treasury of Logic by Sakya Pandita
and Appreciation Ceremony for Khenpo Jamyang Losel
Wednesday, December 8 at 7:30 pm at Sakya Phuntsok Ling, Maryland
This week Khenpo Jamyang Losal will give the reading transmission of Sakya Pandita's great work, Treasury of Logical Reasoning. The Treasury of Logical Reasoning is unique in that it is was the only text to have been translated from Tibetan into Sanskrit (as opposed to most other texts which were translated from Sanskrit into Tibetan by Tibetan and Indian scholars). The reading transmission is both a blessing and the creation of an auspicious interdependence so that one can study and gain further understanding and wisdom from studying the text.
Following the reading transmission, we will have the opportunity to offer khata and envelope to Khenpo Jamyang in appreciation for his many teachings here. All are welcome and encouraged to join in this special evening event.

Zen Master Seung Sahn said, “That’s simple. Atomic bombs come from the mind that likes this and doesn’t like that.”
"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."

Sounds great. I wish I could be there for that.
- How foolish you are,
grasping the letter of the text and ignoring its intention!

Unfortunately I just found out about it yesterday although the email for it was sent out the day before so it's still pretty timely. Hopefully some East Coast people might be able to make it.
