Kapala style
Kapala style
I've always been curious as to why the kapalas used by Gelug practitioners seem distinct from that of other traditions. The distinctive feature being the half-bow shaped wind mandala with banners forming the base. I've also wondered if they're available for purchase online. Any thoughts?

These are just more elaborate models, the others without the base are the standard models without the optional extras.

i think these are not especially/extraordinary in gelugpa-system - there are non-gelug-texts wich presents them exactly like that.... f.e. chod & dharmapala, etc.
