Sounds like a political entity. Anyone can claim being a descendant of Gautama's line, and many do, so that means nothing. Patriarch of Buddhism sounds like a rather self-aggrandizing claim :shrug:

The first video is very Chinese.

Chinese Buddhist organizations generally make such grand documentaries about their masters, trying to paint them as epoch making figures whose very childhood was a testament to their unique place in the world.
