Code: Select all
So I gave up on trying to find a way
To an answer that doesn't exist
Barred in by the silence
Constrained to my abyss
And you say "There's always a way out of this maze
You just have to find it"
You say "It's just a matter of time until - "
But I don't believe it

There's no way to surface now
The strain is far too strong to take
From this prison there is no escape

So I gave up on trying to find a way
Through an exit that I sealed shut
Locked into the silence
Poisoned by the rust
And you say "There's always a way out of this maze
You just have to find it"
You say "It's just a matter of time until - "
But I don't believe it

There's no way to surface now
The strain is far too strong to take
From this prison there is no escape

There's no way to surface now
The strain is far too strong to take
From this prison there is no escape

So quiet now
The waves drown out what once was loud
And I don't recall
The sound anymore

There's no way to surface now
The strain is far too strong to take
From this prison there is no escape

There's no way to surface now
The strain is far too strong to take
From this prison there is no escape

By the way, to each their own, but I've gotta counter that Psyclon Nine in the previous post^ with something :stirthepot:, and have the perfect track to do so (see 2:04 (I don't condone this literally, just metaphorically) and 5:14 (especially this), specifically):

For those on mobile web:

The first minute and fifty seconds is them messing around a little and freestyling^, the actual song starts at 1:50 and ends at 5:20 (three and a half minutes total).

O mighty Padmasambhava
Summoned by the great Trisong Detsen
You came to the Land of Snows
Opposed by the old spirits
You did cast them down

O supreme arya
you are like a mountain
unable to be overthrown
As I call you, do not tarry
but come quickly and destroy my obstacles I pray.
Equanimity is the ground. Love is the moisture. Compassion is the seed. Bodhicitta is the result.

-Paraphrase of Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tsephel citing the Guhyasamaja Tantra

"All memories and thoughts are the union of emptiness and knowing, the Mind.
Without attachment, self-liberating, like a snake in a knot.
Through the qualities of meditating in that way,
Mental obscurations are purified and the dharmakaya is attained."
