I had a chance to see DJKR's movie Vara last night, and I highly recommend it. It's an interesting story beautifully filmed, and the performances are really excellent, especially Shahana Goswami's as Lila/Radha. I'm beginning to suspect that Rinpoche is a bit of a Krishna bhakta at heart but if you can overlook that, it's definitely worth a view.

BTW, there will be a special screening of the movie in San Rafael (San Francisco Bay Area), on July 20th, with Rinpoche and Peter Coyote:

Well, it was great to see it on the big screen. Really a fantastic film, IMO.
Turns out that Rinpoche is more of a Shiva bhakta than a Krishna bhakta, but what can you do?
