Koyasan is the center of Shingon Buddhism, a important Buddhist sect which was introduced to Japan in 805 by Kobo Daishi (also known as Kukai), one of Japan's most significant religious figures. It is also the site of Kobo Daishi's mausoleum and the start and end point of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage.
There is also a Japan's largest ancient cemetery on open air.

The meeting with two extraordinary characters, two teachers, one from America, one from Australia (born in America), that decided to change their life and live in a Japanese temple. The interviews are accompanied by images of this magician place, and the chanting of the monks in the early morning.
