Practicing/Studying Zen in Japan

Does anybody have any contacts for Zen monasteries that accept foreigners in Japan?
I am interested in making a 1-3 month trip to Japan, although I probably would only want to stay in a temple 2 months max.
In particular, I am looking for ones that:

1) Do not have a time commitment more than a month, and
2) Charge a reasonable rate for staying there (ideally $25 or less a day)
3) Ideally do not require you to work all day (although some work is fine and zazen is great)

The only ones that I really know of are Antai-ji, which used to be quite open but now requires a 3 month commitment, and Hosen-ji near Kyoto, which is somewhat expensive (80,000 Yen a month or $800).

Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I used to be pretty good at Japanese, but that was 8 years ago (when I was last in Japan in 2005 -- lived there for 6 months and studied the language for about 3 years), so I am a beginner again.

I'm also interested in Shingon temples too, but that seems even less accessible.

Interesting, but still rather expensive (3000 Yen per night or about $900/month). Of course if it were just for a shorter stay, it wouldn't be that expensive. Will keep it in mind.
