Mongolian Chod and Dakini Prayers
Posted: Thu Mar 22, 2012 5:08 pm
This is a short film of a Chod ritual performed in Mongolia by the Narkhjid (Vajrayogini) nuns of Ulaan Batar. They practice the Chod of the famous and flamboyant Lama of the Gobi, Danzan Ragjaa (circa 1920). While the Gelugpa are traditionally the main lineage of Mongolia, there are now at least 11 Nyingma monasteries, and many practice a mixture of several lineages! And while the spoken language is Mongolian, the textual language is Tibetan.
