How to take the flag ,we can do it himself?
For example, photocopying print and hang over the door?
It will work or we need a corresponding consecration and dedication of the flag ?

This is something I've always wondered about. I was actually going to make a post on this topic after work, but it slipped my mind; yet here is one already. :)

Karma is the law of cause and effect, so anything done, the cause, has an effect. So how does purifying one's unwholesome karma fit in? Is one really able to stop the effects of a cause? If so, what principle is this based on?

With regard to anger and the Four Power of Confession, Lord Tsongkhapa says: "The master Bhavaviveka states (as already explained) that in the case of both the purification of nonvirtue by the four power of confession and the destruction of roots of virtue by wrong views and malice, the seeds of the virtue or nonvirtue cannot give rise to effects even though they may later meet the with the requisite conditions, just as spoiled seeds will not give rise to sprouts event though they may meet with the requisite conditions.

Moreover, as already explained, even though you cleanse your accumulation of sins though purification by the four powers, this does not contradict the fact that you are slow to produce higher paths."

Burning out seeds in the storehouse consciousness? That's what I understood it to be.

My understanding is that purifying karma is purifying or shedding conditioning.

Namaste,

In my humble opinion, all means of purification of karma
are the manifestations of the mercy without cause of the Supreme.
So, they gradually nullify the reactions of our actions,
purify our senses (gross and subtle) and allow us to reach
higher platforms of realization. All in one.

Your servant,
John

Purification of karma by just seeing something, that is an incongruous with the Buddha's other teachings.
Must be a teaching to be interpreted or simply a bogus sutra.

When I was young, decades ago, I used to plaster mantras and special symbols, including the later of those, all over my apartments and house.
Gradually they started coming down as I learned more about the teachings. I still think it's possible that those images planted good imprints in my mind and influenced me for the better, but the idea of absolving eons of karma through looking at such a thing. Does that mean I can go and run over people at the cross walk next time I'm in a hurry to work and look at those mantras to absolve that negative karma and then some? I don't think so.

Exactly, first repentance then firm resolve and finally purification.

Mostly the way to come out the jungle of karma's effects, is to go through it.

How to make karma:
"intention and satisfaction from action.
Without this karma is not created" - ChNN

If someone treats methods for the purification of karma
to rescue from bad proceedings
and continues to act inappropriately because he knows the purification mantra
such a person will never cleanse their karma.

So secret that you plaster it in an open discussion on a public internet board? Are you sure you didn't mean that you are not ready or capable of explaining it, because I reckon I am ready enough to able to hear what you have to say?

I didn't revealed the secret... I just mentioned it!
"Ready or capable of explaining the Supreme?" Of course I am not ready, but guess what, none of us are!
And of course I was being ironic when I said it was a secret.
Since your vision of transcendence is different from mine,
and the subject of this message is a different one, I will leave
that for a different discussion.

Namaste Greg,
John
