Bon Children's Home Computer Lab Funding

Post by Loren »

The Bön Children's Home in India provides food, clothing, shelter, education and a safe place to grow for approximately 300 refugee children, ages 4 - 18. The BCH gives them a chance to grow to become productive adults.

Computers are now an important part of their education. The children are asked to do on-line research for their school assignments, but they do not have the computers to be able to keep up with their school assignments , let alone learn the important computer skills for their future jobs. They need a computer lab to give them these important tools and skills.

Today, we are officially launching the BCH Computer Lab fundraiser. Crowd funding was suggested as a fundraising tool, but the crowd funding sites take a percentage of the funds raised.

So we are asking all of our contacts to please share this campaign and video with everyone you know. Ask them to please donate, and to continue sharing this campaign with their friends. Together, we can reach our goal. No donation is too small.

So please, take a few minutes. Watch the video about the Computer Lab project. Share with as many people as you can, and ask them to share with as many of their contacts as possible.

To make a donation, please visit BCH Computer Lab, Click on Donate Now, complete the form and select BCH Computer Lab as the category.

Funny little computer side--my son Asher prefers LibreOffice to Microsoft Office 2013. Think it's the ribbon instead of traditional menus that he dislikes.

I have both installed cause he'll need to know Word and Excel but... He also ran Linux for a long time but he prefers Windows.

Is important for their future.
