---------------OM MA TRI MU YE SA LE DU --------------------

The Great Mantra, represents the great invocation of the Buddha Tonpa Shenrab Miwoche (ston-pa gshen-rab mi-wo che)

and his

consort the Great Mother ofWisdom Sherab Chamma (yum-chen shes-rab byams-ma),

as well as the 6 manifestations of Tonpa Shenrab, which appear
in the 6 realms of cyclic existence in order to alleviate suffering and liberate all beings imprisoned therein.

These letters represent the six Dui-Shen ( dul-gshen drug) who alleviate the suffering of beings of the 6 realms.

Corresponding to the 8 syllables in the Great Mantra, these luminous
figures may be tabulated in the following way:

- OM Tonpa Shenrab (ston-pa gshen-rab) represents cornpassion (tabs) and blessing (tugs-rje). His color is like a precious jewel (rinpoche).

- MA The Great Mother Sherab Chamma (yum-chen shes-rab byams-ma)
represents wisdom (sherab) and vast space (klong). Her color is red.

- TRI represents Mucho Demdrug (mu-cho Idem-drug), who transforms anger and hatred (zhe-dang) by means of great love and affection (byams-pa chenpo). His color is blue and red.

- MU represents Sangwa Ngangrig (gsang-ba ngang-ring), who transforms desire and attachment (dod-chags) by means of great generosity (sbyin-pa chen-po). His color is red.

- YE represents Tisang Rangzhi (ti-sang rang-zhi), who transforms ignorance (gti-mug) by means of great wisdom (ye-she chen-po). His color is blue.

- SA represents Drajin Pungpa (gra-byin spungs-pa), who transforms envy or jealousy (phrag-dog) by means of spaciousness (yang-pa chen-po) His color is golden light.

- LE represents Chegyal Parti (lche-gyal par-ti), who transforms pride and
arrogance (nga-rgyal) by means of great peacefulness (zhi-wa chen po) . His color is light blue.

- DU represents Yeshen T sugpud (ye-gshen gtsug-pud), who transforms laziness (le-lo) by means of great diligence and perseverance (brstun-grus chenpo) His color is white

Remarks:

Remarkable that Bon makes use of A OM HUNG and not of OM AH HUNG.
Did ask to several Geshe la' s the reason why, but untill now no real satisfying answers...........
