Upcoming Bon Dzogchen Teachings

Postby kalden yungdrung » Thu Apr 23, 2015 3:21 am

Tashi deleg DW members,

In the USA will Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche give teachings from the cycle of Kusum Rangshar (The Spontaneous Arising of the Three Bodies), one of the most important Dzogchen texts in the Bönpo tradition.

During this three day retreat, Khenpo Rinpoche will dwell deeper into Thögal instructions while also integrating in traditional Dream and Sleep Yogas as supporting forms to abiding in the Natural State. Clear Light meditation or Thodgal is an integral part of Dzogchen practice. By liberating conceptual and habitual grasping and judgments Thodgal practice leads the practitioner in the realization of pure vision of inner light.

Dzogchen meditation is considered to be the highest and most profound practice in Bön tradition. According to this tradition, the ultimate nature of mind is pure and perfect. In contrast, the clouds of negative emotions and discursive thoughts of the conceptual mind are temporary manifestations without inherence like reflections in a mirror. Through recognition of and meditation in the ultimate nature of mind one obtains self liberation from the bound of hopes and fears associated with egocentric identity.

During his two previews visits Khenpo Rinpoche gave teachings on Rushan, (special preliminary practices), Semdzin (Fixation of Mind), and Semtsol (Searching of Mind), and basic introduction of nature of mind according to this cycle of Kusum Rangshar.

Originally compiled by Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen, “The Spontaneous Arising of the Three Bodies” includes comprehensive teachings on Rushan, Trekchod, Thodgal, Sleep and Dream practice, Tummo, Tsalung, Tchulen, etc. A complete cycle of teaching is formed which leads one towards manifesting signs of true realization with dedicated regular practice. Khenpo Rinpoche will continue the teaching of this text until fully completed.

Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche is the Abbot of Triten Norbutse Monastery in Nepal and the Superior at Shenten Dargye Ling in France. His teaching style honors the traditional Tibetan monastic tradition as transmitted through the lineage Masters – he instructs directly from the original Bönpo root texts.

Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen was one of the leading luminaries of recently realized Bönpo masters. His literary works and instruction manuals on Dzogchen, Tantra and Sutra are revered to this day. In 1934 Shardza Rinpoche attained the ultimate realization of Dzogchen practices by transferring his being into the Rainbow Body of Light (Jalus) at the end of his earthly life at age 76.

Beginners, and all other level students are welcome to the teachings!

Tashi delek Mods,

Would it possible to make this post sticky?
Will mean that it is placed on top of the page until 20-05-2015, if possible?

Thanks in advanced.

Tashi delek CW,

You would not regret it.
Khenpo Lak from Triten Norbutse is one of the most direct students from our Yongdzin Rinpoche.
He is steamed to give Dzogchen teachings also after that the Yongdzin Rinpoche will attain Rainbow Body.
So this Khenpo is well informed about Dzogchen.

So the majority of the Bon Dzogchenpas have the Yongdzin Rinpoche as their Rigdzin, therefore he owns in Bon the title Master under the Masters = Yongdzin and it is like that.

Then Thogal teached as separate (not together with Trekcho) is also very special in Bon Dzogchen, because the Yongdzin Rinpoche teach it as inseparable.
But for better understanding it is split in two parts.

Wish you a good time there.

Re: Upcoming Bon Dzogchen Teachings - Drenpa Serdam

Postby kalden yungdrung » Thu Sep 03, 2015 4:48 pm

Tashi delek DW members,

Because the Bön Yongdzin Rinpoche cannot travel from Shenten Dargye Ling to Germany, the Triten Norbutse Khenpo will give there teachings.

The Teachings are the finishing touch of the Yetri Thasel Dzogchen cycle of teachings, called Drenpa Serdam / Golden Instructions from Drenpa Namkha.

Tashi delek S,

Yes there are many transcripts from some Dzogchen Teachings from Lopön Lak, please contact the under mentioned link please:

http://shenten.org/index.php?option=com ... 01&lang=en

Most of the transcripts are unfortunately, only for those, who did follow one or more teachings of Lopön Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. One must prove this ....

Hope this helps

About the teaching:
The Heart Drops of Dharmakaya DZOGCHEN teachings were composed by Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen, a Tibetan master who upon his death in 1935 achieved the rainbow body, in which his physical body dissolved into light. Shardza Rinpoche was one of the most influential Bon teachers of his time; his works are used as textbooks in many Tibetan monasteries.

In these teachings, practitioners learn a series of extraordinary practices that invoke direct perception of the nature of mind. Unlike methods that involve watching the breath or otherwise calming the thoughts, these practices rely on body postures, sounding of Tibetan syllables, and simple visualizations to draw one quickly to an experience of one's essence.

This is the introductory information re: TSMOD//The Seven Mirrors of Dzogchen is a powerful heart-essence teaching from the Tibetan Bön Buddhist tradition. It offers a direct introduction to the clear, open awareness of our own natures as well as methods for maintaining the recognition of who we truly are. The insight commentary of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche on this 12th century text as well as his skillful instruction of the various practices associated with these teachings, will lead us through these seven mirrors, beginning with the view of The Great Perfection, Dzogchen. There are no prerequisites for attending these teachings. All levels of students are welcome. In addition to the Pasadena California dates in 2017 Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will present talks on the same subject in Berkeley ca March and November 2017as well.
