If you live in, or are passing through London in the next few weeks you might like to visit a free exhibition currently on at the British Museum. It is roughly arranged around the Three Jewels, and although not very large, includes a number of good Buddha rupas and texts from the museums archive, that aren't normally on display.

The reason for posting this here in the Jonang section, is that the exhibition includes (somewhat incongruously in a cabinet marked 'arhats') a rather striking metal rupa of Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen. Unfortunately there is no catalogue and there is a ban on photography in this part of the museum, so I can't post a picture.

Re: Dolpopa Sherab Gyaltsen rupa
Well, the exhibition is over, but there is a picture to be found on the British Museum website.

Not a very good photograph, it has to be said. Doesn't really do it justice. But better than nothing.

The more obscure bits of the BM database are very slow to load, so please be patient....
