Jamyang Rinchen, the Dalai Lama's Chinese translator and Harvard PhD, has just released a new textbook for learning Tibetan. It is called Integrated Tibetan Manual. You can buy it in the iBooks store and also preview it for free.
Jamyang is a good friend and has done a great job. The book has many interactive features and provides a comprehensive introduction to both classical and colloquial Tibetan - this is rare!
If you do use it let me know what you think.
