Winter Teachings in Tampa (Feb 7 - 17)

Drong Ngur Jangchubling is pleased to announce the dates for its 2nd annual Winter Teachings! February 8, 2014 will begin Drong Ngur's Winter Teaching Session and it will last for 9 days. These teachings will be held both during the weekdays and the weekends. The weekend dates are the 8th-9th and the 15th-16th.

The teachers will include: Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche, Drupon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, and our resident teacher, Drupon Thingley Nyingpo Rinpoche.

Public Talk on Vajrayana Buddhism by Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche

Feb 8, Sat @ 10-12 Noon & 2-5 PM:
Chöd Empowerment given by Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche

Feb 9, Sun @ 9-10 AM:
Smoke Puja performed by all Lamas

Feb 9, Sun @ 10-12 Noon:
Chöd Teaching given by Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche. Lamchen Gyalpo Rinpoche collected many different Chöd practices used in the Drikung Lineage and put them together as one book. This book has Yangzab Terma Chöd practices, a Chöd practice from Lord Jigten Sumgon, and many other versions as well from both Nyingma and Kagyu traditions.

Lord Jigten Sumgon's Songs of Realization on the Fivefold Path of Mahamudra taught by Drupon Thinley Nyingpo Rinpoche. The Fivefold Path of Mahamudra is the path in which the condensed essence of all the Buddha's 84,000 categories of Dharma are subsumed, and the means by which one can achieve Buddhahood in a single lifetime.

Teaching on Yellow Dzambala by Drupon Thinley Nyingpo Rinpoche

Feb 13, Thur @ 7-9 PM:
Yellow Dzambala Empowerment by Drupon Thinley Nyingpo Rinpoche. Dzambhala is the means to drawn in material and spiritual wealth and abundance for oneself and others in order to accomplish the welfare and benefit of all sentient beings.

Feb 14, Fri @ 2-5 PM & 7-9 PM:
Bardo teachings by Drupon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. These are pith instructions on achieving enlightenment through the Sambhogakaya in the bardo, as it is taught according to the profound path of the Six Yogas of Naropa.

Feb 15, Sat @ 10-12 Noon & 2-5 PM:
Bardo teachings by Drupon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche (continued).

Feb 16, Sun @ 10-12 Noon & 2-5 PM:
Phowa teachings by Drupon Thinley Nyingpo Rinpoche

Feb 17, Mon @10-12 Noon:
Lama Chopa Tsok led by Drupon Thingley Nyingpo Rinpoche

Feb 17, Mon @ 1-5 PM:

We strongly recommend that you pre-register for these events as soon as possible

Tuition = $300 pre-registration rate for full event or $20 per session / $40 per day pre-registration if received by 2/5/14; otherwise $350 for full event at door, $25/session or $50/day

Lodging rates must be paid in advance to secure a spot. Please plan on food on your own.

3 tent sites at $5 per night
2 beds in garage at $10 per night per person
3 spaces in retreat shed, bring your own bedding $10.00
