Book Release Party and Reading by Yudron—Oakland, CA
Book Release Party and Reading by Yudron Wangmo
You are invited to a free book release party for my debut Buddhist young adult novel, Excavating Pema Ozer. I will read from the book and there will be party food and door prizes. Teens and adults welcome. (Reading is rated PG-13 by me) I’d love to meet you.
Saturday, November 14
4:30pm - 6:30pm
Two Mammas Vegan Kitchen
3700 E 12th St, Oakland, California 94701
Next to the Fruitvale BART station.
About Excavating Pema Ozer:
Weslyn Redinger wants one thing: to be normal again. Racked by panic attacks that have ruined her life and driven off her friends in the months since she saw the body of a young boy she loved rolled out to a waiting ambulance, she is now drawn into a circle of seekers who surround a mysterious stranger living in her grandmother’s backyard shed. After reluctantly attending his teachings, a series of dreams is unleashed—as vivid as her waking life. At night she is an attendant to the female teacher Uza Khandro from the Tibetan countryside, during the day she is a flawed sixteen-year-old struggling to get control over her body and her life.
Excavating is the first of a circle of books called Cycle of the Sky, which is being written with the aspiration to change the world with Buddhist-inspired young adult fiction.

Good luck today Yudron! I would be there but I'm out of town.

Thanks, guys. I just read your messages. The party/reading went great, with a good number of folks for such a thing. I feel supported, and I do need a bit of that since this is a labor of love, not something I will profit from. Three more novels to go in this cycle.
