Resident Lama Tulku Migmar is a fully ordained monk in the Tibetan Buddhist Mahayana tradition. For the past 27 years, he has been a respected senior monk residing permanently at Ka Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery, home to 230 monks.
Tulku Migmar began his formal monastic education as a novice in 1983 at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery. He was recognized as a reincarnation of a realized practitioner or "Tulku". Through the years, Tulku Migmar proved to be an outstanding monk, quickly mastering all the elaborate Buddhist rituals and sacred arts so essential to Tibetan Buddhism. In addition, he also excelled at the intricacies of Buddhist dialectics in the monastery's advanced Buddhist studies program, or "Shedra" (Monastic College). Having completed six years in the Shedra, he successfully undertook his meditation training, including a 3-year solitary meditation retreat under the guidance of the renowned meditation master, Kyabje Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche.
For over 25 year, Tulku Migmar has devotedly and competently served Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling monastery in various capacities - as an instructor and mentor to the novice monks, as a resident monk and the monastery's representative to Dharma Centers in Malaysia. Most recently, due to his knowledge of Buddhist scriptures and complex ritual arts, he was appointed as coordinator for a multifaceted project to restore one of Nepal's most famous world heritage sites, the Swayambhu Stupa located in the Kathmandu Valley.
Recognizing his congeniality and strong capacity to help others, our Rinpoches have decided to send Tulku Migmar to Rangjung Yeshe Oddiyana. As a resident lama, Tulku Migmar would serve the lay practitioners as their instructor in meditation, Buddhist philosophy and the complex ritual arts of the Chokling Tesar Lineage.
The view of the natural state is beyond concepts,
The meditation is beyond meditating,
The conduct is beyond accepting and rejecting,
The fruition is beyond hope and fear.
