Chenrezig Institute in Eudlo, Queensland, will be hosting the annual Vajrasattva purification retreat from 26th to 31st December. This retreat is a great opportunity to reflect on the year that has passed and purify any negative actions prior to the start of the new year.
During this retreat we have the opportunity to learn the practice of Vajrasattva, the Buddha of Purification, and purify our negative karma by engaging in the practice in an intensely focused way. The objective in purifying negativities is ultimately to suffer less and therefore to become happier - to let our good qualities increase, and mental and physical suffering diminish. This retreat is suitable for all faiths: for beginners and long-time practitioners alike. There are no special prerequisites, though a basic understanding of karma is helpful.
