John Ross Carter & Mahinda Palihawadana
It's of course best to start with the usual small print of the Dhammapada, but this 500 pages book is good with it's commentaries. It starts with the Dhammapada without commentaries in the beginning, but then comes 300 pages of commentaries. The commentaries have a lot of details and is very good in discussing the meaning of the words.
I recommend this book as your second reading of the Dhammapada.
