You know what I don't like? The truth.
The truth hurts, it doesn't fit into neat little packages
where everything is comfortable.
To get at the truth you have to give up your security
you have to let go of ideas, labels, and even truth
You can ask the truth questions all day,
and you'l never find an answer, or you'l find one today
that will be wrong tomorrow.
When confronted with the enormous silence of the truth,
all I want to do is grab on to something
like a child who just woke up from a nightmare
and i'll be damned if let go, because it's so much easier
to wallow in self-pity and despair, and anger
even when just loosening your grip would be greeted
with a smile as big as the whole universe.
