Just like the title says: is there any interest in having a forum dedicated to Dharma-related arts and crafts. A forum both for posting ones own or others arts and crafts as well as a place to get advice about creating stuff.
Currently, scattered about in different locations on the site are the kind of threads that would go there -- things like personal shrines and how to set up one, making/mending malas, tormas, Buddhist artwork, Buddhist music, etc. I think you get the idea...

Love this idea!
Observing your mind is a good idea.

Wow! There seems to be a lot of enthusiatic support for this idea.
I hate the idea of making work for our moderators, but if we want this kind of forum we need to give them ideas about where it would be and maybe volunteers for moderation.
Probably the most logical place would be as a sub-forum in the "Media" forum? Doesn't that seem like the best place?
Most of my first encounters with the buddhadharma was through its art. I bet that's the same for many people. Art is powerful.

Thanks for the suggestion. A Dharma-related Arts and Crafts forum is being considered.
