“Where do atomic bombs come from?”
Zen Master Seung Sahn said, “That’s simple. Atomic bombs come from the mind that likes this and doesn’t like that.”
"Even if you practice only for an hour a day with faith and inspiration, good qualities will steadily increase. Regular practice makes it easy to transform your mind. From seeing only relative truth, you will eventually reach a profound certainty in the meaning of absolute truth."

Nice video.
It looks very busy that day the video was made. When I was there it was not that crowded due to it being the hot season (around Aug.-Sept.).

Funny David, I was there around the same period and there were many Saivaite Hindus around, as Aug was a dedicated month to Shiva and the usual crowd of Buddhists. I was there twice, once in the early morning where it was less busy around 630am and crowded again around the afternoon period.
There's one part in the vid where the boys were playing in open space and it also showed many bowls with what looked like water in it, water offerings?

Mahabodhi Temple is something else. It is very international and you have the whole Buddhist world there, so to speak.

Almost as good as being there. Thanks Kirt (and Noa).

Ven. Dhammika has a book on pilgrimage to Bodh Gaya, Maha Bodhi Temple which is available online, free:
http://www.buddhanet.net/bodh_gaya/
It includes some stories of pilgrims over the centuries who have made the trip and the hundreds, perhaps thousands who died on the way. Such was their devotion, walking or traveling hundreds to thousands of miles /km for a chance to see the spot where Buddha attained enlightenment. It's pretty inspiring to not only walk in similar steps of the Buddha, Sariputra, etc, but also the thousands of pilgrims over the centuries.
