Lama Yeshe House Study Group–FPMT Study Group in Denver, Colorado presents:
September 13-15, 2013
An Introduction to Emptiness: The Buddhist View of Reality
with visiting teacher Jon Landaw
Come join us for a fascinating set of teachings on Buddhism
with Jon Landaw, the author of Buddhism for
Dummies. Jon will host a general introduction to Tibetan
Mahayana Buddhism on Friday night. Then, on Saturday
and Sunday, he will offer guidance into the often misunderstood
but fundamentally important topic of emptiness.
It is insight into this key Buddhist concept that enables us
to overcome suffering and dissatisfaction and eventually
attain spiritual fulfillment and enlightenment.
As a westerner
who has studied for decades with various Tibetan
masters—including both Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa
Rinpoche—Jon has a great knack for explaining ancient
and esoteric teachings in ways that present-day Americans
can understand and apply to their own lives. Jon is a
long-time student and teacher with the Federation for the
Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), which
receives its inspiration and is under the guidance of His
Holiness the Dalai Lama.
