Some years ago I made this little sketch complete with a verse.

Anyone else have Buddhist themed art they would care to share?

What does that translate to Huseng?
  • How foolish you are,
grasping the letter of the text and ignoring its intention!

Conviction in mind is non-dual.
Non-duality is in the conviction of mind.

The way of words is cut off.
'Tis not of the past, future or present.

These paintings were done as a gift to me by my very good friend, mentor and spiritual friend Ven. P. Gyatso, a Tibetan monk who is currently living in a refugee centre awaiting confirmation of permission to stay in a European country.

The framed Manjushuri water colour painting below was a birthday gift to me from Venerable Gyatso in 2007.

The Avalokiteshvara water colour painting below was a gift from Venerable Gyatso to my housemate to thank him for financially supporting me during my three year stay in Dharamsala.

Thanks very much justsit and Ngawang for your kind comments. The next time I speak with Ven. Gyatso I will pass what you have said on to him.

Regards,

A Tsa Tsa depicting 1000 Armed Avalokiteshvara painted by Ven Gytaso on request. It is just under 7 inches in height and some of the finer detail was painted using a brush with 3 hairs.
