DC Mudras

Post by Reibeam »

Hello All,

I heard that Shung Shung produced a DC mudra book, but It seems that they do not have it anymore. Does anyone here know where I might find a copy of it or if some could share a pdf of it?

Many Thanks,

If you cant find it try the booklets for the practices you are interested in.
They usually contain pictures of the mudras associated with those practices,. i.e Green Tara, Tun book,...etc.

If that does not work, send me a PM.

Thanks Oldbob,

I looked at the the links and none seem to have it (although the Australia one has some stuff I have never seen on the United States site). So I sent an email to the Italian Shang Shung Store, so maybe they'll know. I have some booklets with mudras, but was hoping to finding something to use as a quick reference. Thanks again for your help.

The easiest / best way to learn the Mudras, is to sit facing in the same direction as the teacher and monkey see - monkey do.

Do them 20 times this way and your hands will do them by themselves, without thinking.

If you are coming to the Tseygyalgar retreat then you should look for me and I can do this for you or anyone else interested.

For the lotus turns, put your inner wrists together and imagine that there is a pin through them, holding them together.

Then flop them back and forth, quickly, turning while you flop.

This gets your hands in the general mood of the lotus turn movements.

Then try the lotus turns slowly and elegantly, curling and uncurling the fingers as you turn your hands.

Watch how Rinpoche does it and monkey see, monkey do.

Thanks for the advice, I have been trying to learn as much as I can the from the practice videos and the online retreats right now. everything in the Tun Book is pretty smooth now, Mandrava practice is a little more complicated, but that will get easier with time.

As for attending the retreat.....i almost made it to the Khorva Yedal retreat and the Big 30 events, but circumstances made it difficult. The good news is though that I am definitely going to the Longsal teachings in Costa Rica next year so maybe I'll see ya there  . It will be my first time meeting Rinpoche outside of a computer screen, to which I am so thankful the DC has made these teachings available in a variety of ways.
