Dearest all, I am doing some research,
Can the ten Shingon precepts be taken as vows? And how is a precept broken?
Kindly,

Breaking a precept means just that, to break a precept.minimayhen88 wrote:Dearest all, I am doing some research,

And there are of course vows.

To elaborate, precepts in general are guidelines for practitioners to assist in their practice and well being. All Buddhists in general make a pledge to not commit these deeds in one's present life. It may not always be easy, but by just continuing to practice, gradually it will help us to be better persons.
