Re: What about Phagmotrupa?

You can find Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen teaching in English on one of his texts (Engaging by Stages in the Teachings of the Buddha by Phagmodrupa) here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P-botEcr4g&list=PLQBWMM1V2UR5tfdl0cyAO5EIYmCg_Gjeo Is it only me, or do others agree, Khen has the coolest of voice...

Re: Rishi Stars?

Yep, the stars of the asterism known as the plough/big dipper/the thigh, plus Canopus. The date is based on the brief period of time that Canopus rises above the horizon and is visible in the Himalayan region. For those of us living in more Northern latitudes, Canopus is never visible.

6-armed Yamantaka Image at Samye and Indian Images of Kama Deities

Hey! In another thread Malcolm mentioned a six-armed Yamantaka statue at Samye. Does anyone know where I can find an image of this statue, please? My google-fu is failing me.
Could you also point me to any Indian images of the Nyingma Kama deities, please?

Re: Milarepa namthar?

Hello! My suggestion would be to read 'The Life of Milarepa' by Tsangnyön Heruka. Then the 100,000 songs and finally 'The Biographies of Rechungpa: The Evolution of a Tibetan Hagiography' by Peter Alan Roberts in order to have a bit of perspective on Milarepa and namthar in general. I hope that helps.

Earlier in this thread Malcolm mentioned a six-armed Yamantaka statue at Samye. Does anyone know where I can find an image of this statue, please? My google-fu is failing me. Failing that, any image of an Indian form of Yamantaka would also be good.

Drikung Live-streaming Resources

Hallo folks, if you're a follower of the various Drikung live-streamed teachings, you will no doubt be aware that one of the most common questions raised in the live-chat is 'where can I find a copy of the text?' In the hopes of making things a little easier for those not familiar with the available...

Re: Longchen Nyingtik Teachers in UK

Thank you for your help guys! As it turns out the Palyul UK centre in London will now be doing the concise LN ngondro and LN chod once or twice per month, so I shall be heading there when I get the chance, as the wangs and lungs I previously received was through them. Lama Dawa had said he didn't ha...

Longchen Nyingtik Teachers in UK

Hey Wheelers, Do you know of any Longchen Nyingtik teachers in the UK? Having recently received lung and wang it would be wonderful to receive some guidance on a semi regular basis without having to travel abroad.

Hey Palzang, I managed to find a link to Lama Abao's teachings. It was unlisted, however the link was still available on Farcebook. If you still don't have access to FB, let me know if there are any other teaching videos you are after that have been de-listed (for example, a lot of the Seattle ones ...

You will also find many Chinese Mahayana temples in Thailand, due to many generations of Chinese-Thai immigrants. Guan Yin is very popular with many going vegetation for a couple of weeks each year to honour her and make merit. I would suggest trying to find a Chinese Mahayana bodhisattva with the s...
