Re: Thoughts on Dzogchen without buddhism?

Wildur, welcome to the forum. Just to confirm: I also got the DI quite early and surprisedly, without knowing what that was. And I still don't know what it's worth for calling oneself anything that ends on -ist . I cherish the core of Buddhism but do not consider myself a Buddhist. Seek out for your...

Re: Circumcision

From what I read and heard, also privately confirmed by mothers concerned with that question, is that mothers wish their sons to be able to present a dick as attractive as their husband's to their (future) spouses (and mother of their grandchildren). A circumcised penis is supposed to look a little ...

If someone happen to drive to Vajradhara Ling in Bretagne, F, from somewhere middle Germany for the July 19-14 slot, I'd be very appreciative about sharing that ride.

Given the past few posts, is there a Gelug 'revelatory' method?
Gelugs also practise Mahamudra, but I don't know any specificities

Re: Dzogchen and Mahamudra: differences and similarities

Is it correct that Dzogchen starts off with DI and develops on the basis of that whereas
Mahamudra offers a gradual part in which the guru is NOT directly and unmistakenly showing the nondualist view to the student?

Re: Western Monastic - reasons why she left

Right now, Tibetan monastics have employment status. They are granted income, bank account, car, mobile phone, pension. But is monatsicism an aid anyways? - I am not too sure. I met so many monks already struggling with chastity and their view on females. What is that suppression for? And is it stil...

Re: Intro and a question

Welcome to DW, Savoir. May you enjoy and profit of it. We are all confused beings wandering in Samsara. Some more, some less, sometimes more, sometimes less. Don't worry too much, just never forget to keep your eyes (i.e. ALL your senses you are equipped with) open on your path! I have to quote Lewi...

For the dzogchen view that's a hell of a job.

Interesting though to see that it is some Kind of Aid in itself already.

in the air

Over Europe there is presently Sahara sand in the air. Sunrise and sunset are as red as if doomsday has come. I cannot enjoy its aesthetic, some ancient angst arises. Slight symptoms of migraine. Breathtaking constricts. My mind is since Saturday morning, I don't know, diffused, stirred. Subtly mult...

Re: Response to Bernie

What's a good practitioner? Well, it appears that my view on these matters is not welcome here, so perhaps others can comment. I dont think it's within anyones purview to comment on the quality of others as practitioners. So you're not alone. Who a good practitioner is? I think we all are little re...
