Re: New Rigpa letter

This should be interesting. Well, the Catholic Church murdered Galileo...but guess whose point of view we all have confirmed through reasoning confirmed with valid cognition... Well, I don't really understand what you are trying to say but as a point of information, Galileo was not murdered.

Re: New Rigpa letter

i agree with Greg that there is a danger in rejecting the entire concept and practice of pure perception. the whole issue of pure perception is a very thorny one fraught with unavoidable danger. i think it's important to remember that the vajrayana is A) inherently dangerous and B) not for everyone...

Re: New Rigpa letter

Well, SDR's son Namgay Dawa Rinpoche posted it to the H.H. Dudjom Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje FB group, of which he (NDR) is an administrator, so presumably it is meant for anyone who is interested in Dudjom Rinpoche. The letter of the infamous gang of eight was posted to facebook too, does that mean it wa...

Re: New Rigpa letter

However, this is a missive directed to his own students, given the personal nature of the communication: This guidance comes from me now not as a reprimand, but as a result of the fact that I love you all and I am concerned. It comes because I don’t want you to cultivate more negativity which would...

Re: New Rigpa letter

I don´t think it refers to Sogayl thing, I think it refers to the outrage about Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche´s comments and jokes on the facebook. If it were a reaction to Sogyal scandal, it would seem a quite late to the party. Just my opinion. Well, the DJKR stuff may have prompted him to get invol...

Sweet, were you doing the Trekchod retrteat?
Yep! I went last year as well. It was really nice this year to do the Rushen for a week before some Trekchod at the end.

Ah, that explains why you look so spiritual.

Hey TA, I'm digging your new avatar. Was that taken at POL?
Thanks :)

Yes, indeed it was! Just last week, actually.

Re: New Rigpa letter

Unrelated: Matteo Pistono's book on Terton Sogyal is worth reading, but I'm not sure what to think of his various remarks on Sogyal Lakhar, which seem contradictory to me. I liked the book too. It is kind of odd that as late as 2014, when it came out, he would write in his "Author's Note": I was al...

If you are interested in Dzogchen teachings, get thee to a Dzogchen master.

Or, at least, a Dzogchennery.

Re: The Future

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I am concerned that Vajrayana Buddhism is going the way of Christianity in the West. It seems that things reached their peak in the 70's-80's here and now the loyal practitioners are becoming older, there are fewer and fewer young people getting inte...

Who closed which forum and why?
What's going on?

Probably a reference to the closing of the E-Sangha Dzogchen forum.
