Offerings...

How does one go about making the daily offerings to the buddhas. With water in the 7 water bowls etc. I would like to incorporate that into my practice but am not sure how any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Just exercising 'least harm'. It is far from evil to hope a sponsor of both domestic and international murder dies before he can do more harm. After all, it saves him from the vipaka of that harm as well. I would guess the particular hell he is destined to reach will accept him on the baisis of his...

Re: Scary Liberal Views and Policy Positions?

Last night Sean Hannity (Fox News contributor) said, “many are hailing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a rising star on the political landscape but in reality, her views, her policy positions, are actually downright scary.” And then showed a graphic outlining her platform: “Medicare For All” “Housing A...

Re: Prayers...

To what Bodhisattva would one pray for protection? Tara? Yes. All Bodhisattvas are effective here but Tara is said to be especially swift at responding to the needs of beings as symbolised by her right extended leg, ready to move into action and her mudras of protection and refuge from suffering, s...

Oh, never been any left wing genocide, of course.
When was the last left-wing genocide? I mean the left-wing definitely started the game pretty strongly (after WWII) but petered out early in the match leaving the right wing to dominate for some time now.

Hello, I was raised Roman Catholic and was a fairly devout practitioner until march of 2017. My father got terminal cancer and died on march 29. After this I entered a existential crisis and found I was obsessed with and terrified of death. I found my old religion could not answer my questions. In D...

Prayers, to who?
