Re: Please Pray For This Man

I've been homeless several times in my younger years, in small towns, in major cities, with and without a car. The hardest part about homelessness is boredom after dark. If u have a car it is much much better than not having a car, u have a phone for work etc. if u have a cell phone, to get an addre...

Re: Pekar incense

Could be copal too I guess since there are so many varieties of copal, it doesn't smell like copal or frankincense though, nor myrrh. I think maybe the name purkar is wrong, I've searched using variations of the name and found nothing as well, I would think surely it must be known by some other name...

Re: Pekar incense

Thanks for the info, it makes sense that it's a type of frankincense since it's as smoky as frankincense is.

Sad news, you will be missed malcolm. I've been following him since e-sangha days, must be somewhere around 10 years ? He's been a teacher, one thing I have to say is he has more patience than anybody I know, lol, and he uses a lot of his time and energy helping people online, he has definitely been...

As far as the mental and emotional side goes, his mental and emotional state can be balanced and stabilized, wich will help everything else, by taking 5-HTP and / or Choline / Inositol ( seratonin and seratonin re-uptake inhibitors ), or herbs such as valerian, passion flower as a booster, Agar -35 ...

Re: Pekar incense

I think you're talking about purkar resin, I have never been able to find any info whatsoever on the web about this resin, other than something spelled purcar being used in a perfume, this resin seems to be entirely unknown to magickal herbalists as well. I bought some from potala gate and it is adv...

Re: Vajrayana Questions

If I were you I would continue to do your practice if u want to, and look to the founder of the lineage and the rest of the lineage gurus if u want to, as opposed to feeling that the problems of your guru require you to leave the lineage itself. I would find out where and when a chod empowerment is ...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

According to oracles and demons of tibet Pehar is none too happy with having been subjugated and has expressed his intention to harm his manipulators if he ever gets the chance, expressing this on different occasions during oracles, I haven't read that book in a long time but I think it says Pehar i...

Re: How to disrupt any Buddhist conversation:

Great example. I will try it next time  . How about developing short and fast answer for sunyata addicts, that will easily extinguish their enthusiasm? Sure, tell them to stand in front of a train, since the train, movement, and the person standing in front of it don't exist there should be...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

sorry for going so off topic, it probably should go in the lounge, perhaps we could have a forum for Buddhist witches since there are quite a few of us out there really, or a forum for Buddhism and the occult or something. (...) I'm curious - what is a Buddhist witch? I use Buddhist magic on a dail...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

I didn't know solomon didn't write what is attributed to him, but it makes sense, magick got all jumbled up around the time of the church, catholic priests still maintaining parts of the old religion in private, the church absorbing pagan gods into their pantheon and giving them different names beca...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

The most interesting thing about my studies of magickal traditions and the most interesting thing about magick itself to me is how ALL magickal traditions share many of the exact same correspondences and praxis throughout all history and all cultures, including the magickal aspects albeit maybe auxi...

I wish the edit option didn't expire so soon, just wanted to say something about Crowley since he was brought up, on one hand he was the most influential man in the 20th century occult world, on the other hand he was a spoiled rich kid and messed up a lot of people, culminating in his putrid " ...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

actually as far as I know theosophy isn't anything to do with witch traditions really but more along the lines of the typical western judeo / christian so called " mysticism " ala solomon, agrippa, the kabbalah etc., and eastern thought, however garbled, I really don't know much about theo...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

New age is bits and pieces of witch tradition, theosophy was also bits and pieces of witch tradition mixed with eastern mysticism and maybe a pinch of ceremonial magick, witch tradition itself is bits and pieces of traditions from many cultures. This is why they are so open minded about things, beca...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

In as much as magic and witchcraft are fundamentally based on an understanding of the 5 elements they can in fact lead towards real wisdom, as well as a connection to life and nature, these traditions are much much more earthy and grounding than Buddhism and so they may help somebody in that way als...

Re: Buddhism about spirit guides

There are personal dieties who reside on ones shoulders, I've been told this by a Rinpoche. You will find everything plus more in vajrayana that you would find in the western occult traditions, vajrayana is a magical tradition, it has all the so called low magic you will find in western traditions a...
