Asking for help

Hello, I am struggling with health issues and money, trying to do my best to apply the teachings I receive but it has been tough recently. I wished very much to participate in a retreat going on already and receive Initiation but it turns out I am short on cash. If it is ok to ask here, I would like...

Re: General question about DC ganapuja

Prepare plate for Three Roots on the altar. Then distribute the food among participants just at the point between Song of Vajra and the moment you eat. Or if there are a lot of partici0pants, prepare plates for everyone in advance. Then the leftover plate - it is collected leftovers from everybody's...

Re: Green Tara 28 Jun webcast

You make valid points regarding mantras, but you're missing the OP point entirely. What he's asking is the prayer to 21 Taras, because there's no other Tara mantra for which Rinpoche gives lung in Tibetan and tells us to recite in Sanskrit. Why it is so derives from one of Rinpoche's dreams regardin...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

What I remember fro mthe end, is that Khyentse Yeshe said his father is in good health and so he's not going to teach and if anyone invites him they should make sure it's not about him but about what he can share with them for the DC. Hence what he teaches NOW (because he actually had a very differ...

Best if you can also get the root text http://www.shangshungstore.org/index.php?l=product_detail&p=118 , and both the dvds, or at least the earlier one where the whole of the practice is explained in detail and then Longsal Vol 8 (this is related with the later dvd). Best wishes for your practice. Y...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

At the end of his last retreat, K. Yeshe has declared that the "Tibetan Teachings of my father" will be done by the SMS structure and that he, K. Yeshe, will be bringing out his own Teachings in his new series of retreats. Wow really? That's what I got out of it at 5 in the AM, in Margarita, with a...

Re: Sherab Chamma mantra

does Sherab Chamma=Tara? On conceptual level there are equivalents, for example Vajrapani ~ Takla Mebar, and White Tara ~ Sherab Chamma. But then in real quality of energy is different, and the Bon panteon is unique. Even if you go to the most commonly known case of guardians - Ekajati and Sidpa Gy...

Re: Dzogchen Ganapuja

In Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche's explanation of the Six Lokas practice, there is Deity transformation; but it's obviously different in the Dzogchen Community (at least with the common Dzogchen Community Six Lokas practice anyway), as the Bönpo Six Lokas practice is apparently more mixed with Tantra. Ye...

Re: A & Thigle in Dzogchen

That's precisely how he puts it. "Do your best". And 'do your best' in this context means this: In five color of the thigle, there is white Om, red Ah, blue Hum. You see there is the three syllables on this wall. In thigle of five colors, just like that. If someone of you are new to the teaching, y...

Re: A & Thigle in Dzogchen

When it comes to these symbols there really isn't a hierarchy of validity, whatever works for the individual is what's appropriate. That's not how Chogyal Namkhai Norbu puts it. Details of visualizations are important, that makes partially what is meant by quality of practice. most important of all...

Re: Vajrayogini poem

According to Tsem Rinpoche it is someone called "J. Denosky". Yeah I've seen this poem on Tsem Tulku's webpage too, and the "J. Denosky" is actually owner of copyrights of the buddhanature.com and probably also of the page. But that doesn't automatically mean he's the author. I googled him and foun...

Re: A & Thigle in Dzogchen

You can use the latin 'A' (mentioned earlier as English - well, ) butthe destination is to learn the Tibetan A and apply the GuruYoga correctly according to the transmission. Rinpoche mentiones this often, there's no problem in learning a few Tibetan characters. The same goes for the visuali...
