Re: wrathful visualization

I second JD's recommendation of Lama Tsultrim Allione's Feeding Your Demons. For two non-tantric approaches... If you are interested in working specifically with anger, check out Thich Nhat Hanh's book, Anger: Wisdom for Cooling the Flames. Another approach is Chapter 16, Taking Afflictions and Emot...

Garchen Rinpoche also gives Ganges Mahamudra instructions online via live stream.
Indeed. In fact, this coming June 30 – July 1 Garchen Rinpoche will be offering pith instruction on the Ganges Mahamudra. Don't know if it will be live streamed, but I'm guessing it will.

Re: So, Anthony Bourdain...

Years ago I was discussing suicide with a therapist friend who made a comment I'll never forget, "How to kill the ego without harming the body?" "So, you ever heard of this guy, Siddhartha Gotama?" My friend had Buddhist sympathies, and would work with clients along pragmatic lines in a theraputic ...

5th Annual USA Drikung Kagyu Monlam: June 9-10

I was surprised to not see this mentioned anywhere in Dharma Events (maybe I just missed it in my search). Don't know if it is going to be webcast.

I don't know if you are familiar with Dan Carlin - he was a pioneer in podcasting and did a regular current events commentary podcast called "Common Sense" for years. He quit abruptly shortly after Trump was elected, without much explanation. He recently released a new pod cast to explain why he st...

For sure, but in fairness, I saw little good and some serious nastiness in there. That's a shame. It seems a learning opportunity was missed. I wonder whatever happened to the art of disagreeing respectfully? (I've been reading a couple of very nice books on civility by P.M. Forni.) Mind yo...
