Really. This stuff is important. Let’s throw our wooly-headedness down, all at once if we can but in stages is fine too. That’s all.

Re: UK football invest in Tibet water

As an update to the OP #1, it now says at the link: **Update 7 September 2018: Result! Liverpool FC has dropped Tibet Water! Over the past year, together with Tibet groups we’ve signed petitions, tweeted and shared images on Facebook, and driven a mobile billboard around Anfield on match days. And r...

I think it's also fair to ask: where was PC in all of this before these allegations being made about her? She hasn't made any public statement on the matter that I can find, but she really should. She's a public figure; she publishes a lot of self-help books ("When things fall apart", for instance)...

Re: How do you know you're not just making karma worse??

Karma is a difficult one to figure out. For example: My brother died earlier this year and left a heap of debts that my family and I have to pay for. This lead me to wondering: How can I know if this is due to old debts which were accrued by me towards him that I now have to pay for, OR are these n...

Re: Donating one's organs at death

Well, how much time is it effective? The cause for incurable disease is there for quite a long time. They just delay their expiating suffering. Think what happens to the transplant recipient after death... That kind of despair for life. I saw some blood transfusion patients, and they are not happy....

Re: 32 marks of the Buddha

. I hope its ok to post this here, but there's an article "On the 32 marks" by Bhikkhu Sujato in which he says : There is plenty of incidental detail in the Suttas and Vinaya that show that the Buddha was normal in appearance, so any freakish or supernatural interpretation of the marks must be wrong...

Re: Rabbit's Horns

. More about rabbit's horns.... The apparent images of existence and peace in this dream drama are apparitions of one’s mind alone—nothing else. The essence of mind itself is beyond what is to be realized and the act of realization. The hair of the tortoise covered the lotus of the sky. The sound of...

Re: Rabbit's Horns

From Kenchen Thrangu Rinpoche: In Buddhist scriptures, the analogy of horns of a rabbit are presented to describe our illusory mode of perceiving the world and being within. If rabbits have no horns, investigating how long a rabbit can have horns is rather foolish. Understanding that ultimately noth...

Re: Phowa with psychological disorder

My opinion is that you should definately talk about your difficulties with your lama first and if you know of anyone familiar with Buddhism who is also a health professional, maybe speak to them too for another opinion. You could also investigate if your lama and his students are doing any any group...
